Chili Mushroom Gravy


Nowadays, Chilli Mushroom recipe is served in almost every Chinese or Indo Chinese restaurants of India. Mushrooms are tender and moist in texture and they have a unique earthy flavour. For the vegetarians, we can consider mushrooms are a widely popular dish for them as it is healthy and gives a good taste when cooked with different flavours weather is with Indian spices or Indochinese taste.

The crispy outer layer of mushroom nuggets and soft and juicy centre is the main USP of the Mushroom Chilli recipe. The different taste and texture of mushrooms make it different from other Indochinese Chilli recipes.


Let start with the process.

Ingredients:


For batter

  • 1/3 cup Cornflour

  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper powder

  • ½ teaspoon Chilli powder

  • ½ teaspoon Salt

  • 1 teaspoon Ginger-Garlic paste

  • ¼ cup of Water

For Cooking

  • 300 grams closed cup Mushroom, cut into halves

  • 1 Onion medium, cut and layers separated

  • 1 tablespoon of Garlic, finely chopped

  • 1 teaspoon Ginger, paste or grated or finely chopped

  • 3 stalks of Spring Onion Whites, sliced

  • 3 stalks of Spring Onion Greens, sliced

  • ½ tablespoon Soya sauce

  • ½ tablespoon Red Chilli paste or 1 ½ tablespoon Chilli Sauce

  • 1 tablespoon Tomato sauce

  • 1/2 Capsicum cut into medium pieces

  • 1 tablespoon Vinegar

  • Salt to taste

  • 1 teaspoon Cornflour

  • 2 tablespoons Water

  • Oil for cooking



Proceed with the procedure :

Take Corn flour and all-purpose flour into a mixing bowl add Black Pepper powder and red Chilli powder into the bowl.

Add Some salt and water and mix it well as a thick mixture.

Add the chopped mushrooms and keep it aside for sometime after mixing it.

Heat some oil in a pan make sure there is enough oil to deep fry the mushrooms. once it is deep-fried transfer it in a plate with tissue on it so that the extra oil gets soaked up.

Again take a pan to add 2 tsp oil and heat in a medium flame add the chopped garlic and ginger wait till it turns in brown colour then add the onion and capsicum. and salt as per taste. Stir till well in medium flame add the ginger garlic paste. Now add the spring onion and add red chilli paste, tomato sauce, vinegar and mix it nicely. Add some soya sauce and mix it well. Now it's time to add the fried mushrooms. Take a small bowl and add some cornflour and water mix them well and add this to the pan to get a thick texture of the chilli gravy. Add some black pepper powder and cover the led and off the flame .keep it for some time and it is ready to serve
